At SONITROL Southern Nevada, fast detection and verified response continue to make a real difference in protecting our customers, and a recent incident proved exactly that.
Late one evening, an unauthorized entry was detected at a SONITROL-protected facility. Our highly trained operators immediately assessed the situation and dispatched the local police department. Thanks to verified audio detection and swift action, law enforcement responded quickly and in force.
A Powerful Police Response
The scene saw an impressive response from local authorities, including:
- Drone units actively patrolling the area
- 10 officers and a sergeant from the area command
- K9 units assisting in the search
This level of response highlights the trust law enforcement places in SONITROL-verified alarms. When SONITROL calls, they know it’s real.
Suspect Apprehended
The suspect was successfully apprehended on-site. Although they initially claimed to have permission to be at the facility — and even had keys in their possession — further investigation revealed the truth. The individual had unlawfully entered the building and was carrying stolen keys to company vehicles.
Thanks to SONITROL’s early detection and coordinated response, the situation was resolved quickly and safely.
A Pattern of Success
This incident marks another strong example of SONITROL Southern Nevada working hand-in-hand with local law enforcement. In fact, of the 10 officers who responded, five had also been part of a previous SONITROL dispatch in the same area. It’s safe to say they’re becoming familiar faces; perhaps those SONITROL appreciation certificates are making an impression.
This follows an earlier incident in the same part of town, where 15 officers responded to a SONITROL dispatch handled by the same verification center operator.
Proven Protection That Delivers
At SONITROL, we verify threats and enable faster, more effective responses to reduce costly false alarms. These real-world results demonstrate the power of proactive security and the value of a system that law enforcement trusts.
