SONITROL ASSISTS POLICE WITH TWO APPREHENSIONS CHATTANOOGA

Sonitrol and law enforcement officers have been busy protecting the community in and near Chattanooga, TN.  The first apprehension occurred on January 15, 2017 at the Goodwill Industries in Cleveland, TN.  In the early morning hours, a Sonitrol operator received an audio alarm from the back door and immediately dispatched the Cleveland TN Police Department.  When they arrived they found an active burglary in progress and apprehended one suspect.  All items were recovered at that time.

The second apprehension took place at a Chattanooga, TN church on the evening of January 24, 2017.  A Sonitrol operator received an audio alarm and dispatched the Chattanooga TN Police Department.  One suspect was taken into custody and there appeared to be no damage or items taken from the site.

In both cases, the use of audio alarms to verify intrusion were the key to providing police with real-time information about the incidents resulting in quick police response and two criminal apprehensions.  The Cleveland TN Police Department and Chattanooga TN Police Department know that when they receive a verified alarm call from Sonitrol, an actual crime is likely taking place and the odds of making an apprehension increase.  Typical, motion-based alarm systems do not provide enough information for the operator to know if an actual incident is taking place leading to a 98% false alarm rate.  Learn more about false alarm prevention here - Preventing False Alarms.

Freddie Marble, Sonitrol Sales Consultant in Chattanooga, TN took time to personally thank all of the officers involved with these two successful apprehensions and presented them with a Sonitrol Certificate of Appreciation. Sonitrol sincerely thanks you for your commitment to serving our communities.
