Sonitrol Names Gary Friar Chief Technology Officer

Corporation, the leader in verified electronic security, today named
Gary Friar the company's Chief Technology Officer. Formerly Vice
President of Product Development, Friar will guide the tactical and
strategic direction of the company's entire electronic security
solutions suite.

Prior to joining the Sonitrol management team in July, 2004, Friar
was Vice President of Engineering with GE Interlogix in Portland, OR.
Friar possesses over two decades of experience in the security industry
and has served most of that time in a VP or Director role. Friar holds
a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University.
