(February 1, 2006) - Sonitrol
Corporation, the leader in verified electronic security, announced a
pair of executive sales promotions. Ray DeZarate was appointed to the
position of Senior Vice President of Sales. Previously Vice President
of National Accounts, DeZarate will be responsible for leading all
direct sales efforts across North America. Ken Teifer, formerly
director of Sales, has been named Vice President, responsible for the
Southern U.S.
"Ray's experience in the security industry has made him an
invaluable asset to the team from day one," said Alex Gellman,
President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonitrol. "Since joining
Sonitrol in 2004, Ray has transformed our National Accounts division
into a world-class channel, and we're confident his leadership will
similarly strengthen overall sales."
"Our goal is to become the number one direct sales organization in
the security industry," said DeZarate. "Ken's appointment as Vice
President is an important step in that direction. His track record of
strong management and performance make him a great fit for the
position. I believe we have the right products, infrastructure, and
most importantly, the right people to get the job done."
DeZarate, who joined Sonitrol Corporation in September 2004, is an
accomplished veteran of the security industry and brings a fifteen-year
