Sonitrol Announces Purchase of Philadelphia Dealership
(November 1, 2005) Sonitrol Corporation,
the leader in verified electronic security solutions, today announced
it has acquired the territory and operating rights of its Philadelphia
dealership, Sonitrol Philadelphia. The territories associated with the
acquisition include the counties of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester,
Delaware and Montgomery in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Burlington,
Camden and Gloucester counties in Southern New Jersey.
The Philadelphia market presents a great opportunity for our direct
selling operations, said Kevin Dowd, Sonitrol chairman and chief
executive officer. This acquisition expands our national footprint and
allows Sonitrol to increase its sales and services coverage seven-fold
in the region.
Sonitrol's integrated solutions, combined with our unparalleled
commitment to service excellence, have led to the highest criminal
apprehension rate and lowest police dispatch and false alarm rates in
the industry. We look forward to working with local business owners,
the police, government and school officials to provide the most
complete security coverage for the Philadelphia region.
In conjunction with the purchase, Kathleen Covaleskie, General
Manager of the Philadelphia dealership, was appointed Regional
Operations Manager. We're pleased to have Kathleen in the Regional
Operations Manager role, said Dowd. Kathleen brings more than eleven
years of experience to the local market that will be invaluable to the
company and our customers as we move forward.
John Rausch, Regional Sales Manager, Sonitrol Mid-Atlantic Region,
will oversee sales. John is a great asset to Sonitrol, and we're
confident his leadership skills will ensure a smooth transition, said
Dowd.
Sonitrol Corporation will run the Sales, Service, Operations and Monitoring components for the region.
