Sonitrol Announces Purchase of Long Island Dealership

(December 22, 2004) Sonitrol Corporation, one of the leading commercial security providers in North America, has purchased a Long Island, New York Sonitrol Security franchise from Asgard Industries, Inc. Kevin Dowd, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sonitrol, made the purchase announcement.

Sonitrol of Long Island, having a solid customer base, provides security services to two primary counties, Nassau and Suffolk. It borders existing Sonitrol branch locations in Northern New Jersey, Metro New York, and Connecticut. Account monitoring will be seamlessly transitioned to Baltimore, Maryland with attention focused on the continued quality service to our new Sonitrol customers.

Sonitrol's General Manager of Metro New York Mike Marzarella will oversee the sales and operations for this region.
