A Letter from Bear Arms, A Firearms Dealer in Paradise Valley, AZ The customer wrote this letter to Sonitrol soon after an apprehension was made at his store. He obviously credits both Sonitrol and local law enforcement for preventing a large property loss that could have taken place at his business.

Dear Sonitrol,

The following is a copy of the letter that I've just composed to the
Scottsdale Police Department concerning the events that took place at my business this morning.

The efficiency and professionalism of the police officers involved
would have been moot, of course, without the participation of Sonitrol Security. It's a great system, as several of the officers this morning commented. Please extend my appreciation to your team, and most especially to your monitoring agent, Donna Shields, for her outstanding performance this morning. Her alertness and efficiency spared me a substantial property loss, and very possibly saved lives by preventing the criminal misuse of the firearms that would have been lost had she not been thoroughly on the ball. She's the finest set of 'watchdog ears' you've got. Bravo, Donna!

Sir,

I wish to express my deep appreciation for the efficiency and professionalism of your night watch officers.

I was routed out of bed at 0530 this morning in response to a Sonitrol alarm call at my business, a gun shop [in Paradise Valley, AZ]. I arrived to find your officers on location with the situation well in hand. I understand that they had arrived within three minutes of being dispatched and had in fact arrested a suspect who had cut a hole in the roof of the building, but because of the exceptional alertness and outstanding response time of your officers, had not yet managed to make entry. Once I unlocked the premises, the officers cleared the building in a professional and tactical manner - I was most impressed.

Several of your officers commented on the efficiency of the Sonitrol alarm system, and gave it credit for averting a substantial property loss. That's nonsense, of course. The alarms are the ears of the watchdog, but you guys are the teeth. And from their performance this morning, I'd say those teeth are exceptionally sharp.

Please express my gratitude and admiration to those fine officers involved in the events this morning. I caught only one of their names, unfortunately, that of Officer Capone. As a matter of fact, this is the SECOND time within a year or so that Officer Capone has been involved in apprehending burglary suspects at my business.
