Apprehension Stories of the Month
Sonitrol of Phoenix's operator-on-duty, Donna Shields received a
verified audio alarm activation at 3:02am from a door located in the
front display area of La Grande Bota, a clothing store located in
Phoenix, Arizona and quickly dispatched the police that a burglary was
in progress. Operator Shields heard voices inside yelling,"go, go,
go!"The police dispatcher kept Shields on the phone for real-time
information provided through audio verification means to share with the
responding officers. As a result, three suspects were apprehended!
Apparently, these suspects drove a car through the door of the building
to gain access. Congratulations to Operator Shields, Sonitrol of
Phoenix and their partnership with local law enforcement to put the
brakes on this break-in!
Sonitrol of Stockton's operator-on-duty, Jerome Zertuche received an
audio alarm activation followed by tampering, crashing, and entry
sounds at 4:30am from Diablo Telecom, a communications/cable services
business. Zertuche immediately dispatched the police once the alarm was
verified and the responding deputies arrived at the scene within six
minutes! According to the customer contact, Chris Barney, who was
notified of this break-in, a male suspect gained entry by breaking a
window in the rear of the building. Deputies found the suspect hiding
in a large trash container along with two backpacks filled with
burglary tools! Miscellaneous items that were taken from the business
were recovered as well. A San Joaquin County law enforcement official
indicated that one individual was taken into custody on charges of
felony burglary and felony possession of burglary tools. Thanks to
